Google's Apps Experience Program (for non-games) and Games Level Up Program (for games) reduce the Google Play service fee on one-time purchases above $1M in annual sales. When Google accepts your app, enter its enrollment dates in RevenueCat so charts and integrations use the right commission rates.

Both programs use the same rates, so RevenueCat treats them identically. Enter your dates in the same place whichever program you joined.

## How to join a program

Google determines eligibility for both programs and announces the requirements through the Google Play Console. For the current rates and terms, see Google's [Understanding lower service fees](https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/16954621).

## Inform RevenueCat

RevenueCat stores program enrollment dates for each Google Play app.

1. Select **Apps** in the project navigation.
2. Select your Google Play app, then expand **Google Apps Experience / Games Level Up Program**.
3. Enter the **Start date**, add an **Exit date** if needed, then save your changes.

### Start date

Enter the effective date when your app joined the program. The dashboard accepts September 30, 2026 or later, because that's the earliest date either program is available anywhere.

You must enter a start date before you add an exit date.

### Exit date

If your app leaves the program, enter the effective exit date. The exit date must follow the start date.

## How RevenueCat applies program rates

Program rates only reduce the fee on one-time purchases above the $1M annual threshold. Subscriptions and your first $1M in annual sales are unaffected.

Each total below includes Google's 5% billing fee, which always applies to the transactions RevenueCat processes:

| Transaction | Standard | Enrolled |
| :------------------------------------------------- | -------: | -------: |
| Subscriptions | 15% | 15% |
| One-time purchases, first $1M in the calendar year | 15% | 15% |
| One-time purchases above $1M, existing install | 30% | 25% |
| One-time purchases above $1M, new install | 25% | 20% |

For how RevenueCat classifies a new install, and for the underlying 2026 fee structure, see [Google Play service fee changes in 2026](https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/dashboard-and-metrics/taxes-and-commissions#google-play-service-fee-changes-in-2026).

## Considerations

### Program availability by region

The programs open on a different schedule to the 2026 service fee changes, and they open later:

| Region | Programs available |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------------------ |
| EEA, UK, United States, Australia, Japan | September 30, 2026 |
| South Korea | December 31, 2026 |
| Rest of world | September 30, 2027 |

RevenueCat applies program rates only when both conditions hold: the purchase date falls inside your enrollment dates, **and** the program is available in the Customer's region. A Customer in a region where the program hasn't opened yet gets standard rates, even while your enrollment is active.

### Backdated start dates

When you save a past start date, RevenueCat recalculates affected historical transactions. RevenueCat does not resend [webhooks](https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/integrations/webhooks) or integration events for those transactions.

Set the start date as soon as possible so future events contain the right commission data.

### Charts

Charts calculate proceeds for past program dates, but recalculation may take up to 24 hours.
