Firebase

Firebase provides developers with services for building, releasing, and operating mobile and web apps. Its tools include authentication, databases, hosting, analytics, and app-quality monitoring. Teams can combine these services to manage app infrastructure, understand usage, and improve the customer experience.

RevenueCat offers two independently configured Firebase connections. The analytics integration sends subscription lifecycle events to Google Analytics for Firebase. The Firebase extension stores purchase events and customer information in Cloud Firestore and can update Firebase Authentication custom claims with active entitlements, helping teams react to subscription changes and implement their own access controls. Google has announced the shutdown of the managed Firebase Extensions service on March 31, 2027; review migration guidance before choosing the extension-based approach.
