Troubleshooting Product Editor

Fix export, upload, review, and commit errors in Product Editor

AIAsk AIChatGPTClaude

If export, upload, review, or commit is failing in Product Editor, use this article to check the most common causes.

Symptoms

Export failed or could not generate the file

Confirm store credentials are connected, select 50 or fewer products, and generate the export again. For Play Store, the service account also needs Manage store presence in Play Console.

Could not process this file

Use a file exported for this store and app. Do not mix App Store and Play Store columns. Check Product Editor CSV format.

Could not create a plan

The file may have invalid dates, unknown territories, or too many products. Fix the rows and upload again. The dashboard may also say it could not compute this plan.

Plan expired, discarded, or cancelled

Upload the file again to create a new plan.

Fix blocker warnings before committing

Open the product cards on Review changes. Red blocker warnings must be fixed before you can commit (for example missing prices or invalid localizations). Yellow warnings do not block commit.

Could not commit these changes

Retry from Commit to store. Store APIs are sometimes slow or rate-limited. Wait and try again, or use Notify me by email. Applying continues in the background if you leave the page.

Some products committed and others failed

Products that already applied stay applied. Failed products keep their error on the card. Click Try again to retry the failed items. The successful changes are not rolled back.

You don't have permission to upload or commit

Ask a project admin to grant an Administrator, Growth, or Developer role. View Only and Support cannot upload or commit.

Play Store product missing from the export

Play Store CSV export includes subscriptions only.
