The Ad Fill Rate chart shows the percentage of recorded ad load attempts that were successfully filled with an ad. A higher fill rate means more opportunities to monetize your users. Low fill rates may indicate targeting issues or limited ad inventory availability.

Measures

Ads Requested: The number of recorded ad load attempts. Each attempt was either successfully filled with an ad or couldn't be filled with an ad.

Ads Loaded: The number of recorded ad load attempts that were successfully filled with an ad ready to display.

Ads Failed to Load: The number of recorded ad load attempts that couldn't be filled with an ad.

Calculations

Fill Rate: The percentage of recorded ad load attempts that were successfully filled with an ad ready to display, calculated as (successfully filled attempts ÷ total recorded attempts) × 100. It does not measure whether the loaded ad was displayed or clicked.

This chart can be filtered and segmented by ad-specific dimensions like Mediator Name, Ad Format, Ad Placement, and Ad Unit.

How to use Ad Fill Rate in your business

Fill rate helps you understand how well you're capitalizing on monetization opportunities:

• Monitor fill rate trends to identify issues with ad inventory or targeting
• Segment by country to see if certain regions have lower ad availability
• Compare fill rates across platforms to optimize your ad integration
• Low fill rates may indicate you need to add more ad networks or adjust your targeting settings

Calculation

For each period, we calculate:

1. Total recorded ad load attempts
2. Total recorded attempts successfully filled with an ad
3. Total recorded attempts that couldn't be filled with an ad
4. Fill Rate = (successfully filled attempts ÷ total recorded attempts) × 100

Fill rate is expressed as a percentage with two decimal places of precision.
