How to use Ad ARPDAU in your business
ARPDAU normalizes ad revenue against your daily active user base, making it useful for comparing monetization efficiency across different time periods or segments:
- Track ARPDAU trends to assess the quality of your ad inventory over time
- Segment by country to identify markets where users generate more ad revenue
- Compare ARPDAU across platforms to guide platform-specific ad strategy
- Use alongside Ad Revenue to distinguish between growth driven by more users vs. higher per-user monetization
- Monitor ARPDAU alongside eCPM to understand whether changes are driven by ad pricing or user engagement
Calculation
For each period, ARPDAU is calculated as total ad revenue divided by the number of unique users who viewed at least one ad. Revenue is reported in your display currency.
